Delete Account & Data
1. In-App Deletion (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account and all associated data is directly through the DrunkDiary app. This ensures all your records are purged immediately from our active databases.
Steps to delete:
- Open the DrunkDiary app on your mobile device.
- Navigate to the Profile or Settings tab.
- Tap on Account Settings.
- Select Delete Account at the bottom of the page.
- Confirm your decision. All your data will be permanently removed.
2. Manual Request via Email
If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot access your account, you can request manual deletion of your personal data by contacting our support team.
Please email us at hello@drunkdiary.com using the email address associated with your DrunkDiary account.
Notice:
Manual deletion requests are typically processed within 7-10 business days. Once processed, all your personal data, including journal entries, profile information, and drink logs, will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
3. What Data Is Deleted?
When you delete your account, we purge the following information from our servers:
- Your personal profile information (name, email, user ID).
- Every single drink log and journal entry.
- Your "Derived Shelf" and tasting history.
- Any stored media or photos associated with your logs.
Note: Aggregated, non-identifiable data used for general app improvement (such as total global logs across all users) may remain but will never be linked back to you.
